MasterChef contestant Brent forced to sit out after attending a COVID hot spot 💥👩💥

MasterChef contestant Brent has faced a tricky situation in the competition.

In a preview clip for Monday night’s episode that was shared with news.com.au, Brent is forced to forfeit the competition for a short time, after attending a COVID hot spot.

Instead, he is told to quarantine until Sunday’s elimination, and stay away from the competition.

“Okay, so there’s some tough news,” Melissa tells the contestants. “Unfortunately Brent has been exposed to a COVID hot spot and as a result has to quarantine until he returns for Sunday’s elimination. That means, he avoids tomorrow’s pressure test.”

To ensure it is fair on everyone, the judges Melissa, Jock and Andy reveal that Brent will have to participate in next week’s pressure test no matter what.

“To make it fair for everyone, Brent must compete in next week’s pressure test no matter what,” Melissa continues. “And, if he survives that, he will continue on in the competition as usual.

“What strange times we live in,” she concludes.

Monday night’s episode comes after MasterChef alumni Poh, Callum and Reynold returned to set the contestants a fun challenge of their own.

Together, they capped off Superstars Week by each bringing a selection of dishes from their own food businesses to set the contestants the challenge of creating a meal to fit the menu.

While some contestants aced the challenge, Minoli didn’t quite hit the mark, and was eliminated from the show.
